Did you know that the smiling face that greets visitors to our East Windsor, N.J. office is also a classically trained pianist and part-time law student?
Office Administrator Jolanis Alexandre began working for HMP Global in March 2019, left a year later due to COVID-19, and returned in June 2021.
“I got accepted into law school at the beginning of the pandemic as a part-time student,” she said. “I got a call from HMP Global in June of last year asking if I was interested in coming back. I was about to switch to full-time school, but I enjoyed working at HMP Global so much that I decided to come back.”
Now, she said, she works in the office during the day and at night she attends classes at Rutgers Law.
“It’s a lot of balancing and careful time management, but I’m also proud of myself that I’m able to successfully manage both,” she said.
In addition to administrative tasks, she also assists HMP Global's project management team on a variety of projects.
Most people don’t know that Jolanis is also a classically trained pianist.
“I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center,” she said. “I also have a bachelor’s degree in music. I’ve recently started to play again in my free time, and it’s been nice to get back to another one of my passions.”
We appreciate Jolanis and the many talents she brings to the HMP Global team!
