In January 2021, Aaron Lurie began media production freelance work for HMP Global, focusing on virtual events. In May 2021, he transitioned to working on the IT help desk, and he became a full-time employee in June of this year.
“Aaron is a tech support genius,” said his coworker, Seth Horowitz. “When time is critical and something is wrong with my computer, or Zoom, etc., he is always willing to help, calm, and he figures it out. I am able to jump into a sales call knowing I’m good to go.”
As associate manager of IT/Help Desk support, Lurie provides tech support for all employees, sets up new employees with the technology they need, maintains IT equipment in the offices, and also plans and executes IT projects and improvements.
“I am proud that I was able to quickly transition into the IT role and become a team member that everyone can rely on,” he said. “I’m always happy to help and it was a major accomplishment to build up that level of trust within the company in a short period of time.”
Lurie said it’s great to interact with anyone at HMP Global, and it’s rewarding to assist with any issue or task, big or small.
“It’s a bad feeling when you need to do something, but you don’t have access or you aren’t sure how to fix it,” Horowitz said. “Aaron has helped me more than I would like to admit, and he has been great. He is an unsung hero in my opinion, which has allowed me to do my job without concern.”
Thank you, Aaron, for all your hard work and for being part of the HMP Global team!
