Company among only 83 businesses statewide to earn award from NJ Advance Media

MALVERN Pa., (February 22, 2023) — HMP Global, the leading healthcare events and education company, earned a Top Workplaces 2023 award from NJ Advance Media and NJ.com for the second straight year, a recognition based solely on feedback from its employees. It is one of only 83 companies statewide to earn the designation this year.

The anonymous survey administered by employee engagement technology company Energage, LLC measures 15 workplace culture drivers that are critical to organizational success, including alignment, execution of goals, and connection. Of the hundreds of companies that participated this year, only a limited number of companies earned the Top Workplaces designation due to the award’s rigorous high standards.

Headquartered in Pennsylvania, HMP Global also operates a New Jersey office and produces nearly 500 conferences and educational events virtually and in-person throughout the United States and the world. Additionally, HMP Global Learning Networks provide clinically relevant, evidence-based content to keep healthcare professionals up to date in a range of therapeutic areas.

Jeff Hennessy, HMP Global Chairman and CEO, said the Top Workplaces award is one indicator of the company’s concerted efforts to foster a positive work culture, and will help the company continue to attract top-tier talent as it grows.

“Receiving the Top Workplaces award for the second year in a row is a testament to our dedication to employee satisfaction,” Hennessy said. “We strive to be the employer of choice in our industry, and we actively use our employee feedback to address any issues as they arise. HMP Global has a 38-year history of excellence, and we continue to focus on outcomes as we grow.”

The company recruits locally and virtually, seeking out candidates from a broad talent pool. HMP Global’s workforce is largely remote, with employees located in 30 different states, but it hosts in-person networking events for employees multiple times a year. Among its retention efforts, HMP Global also offers both live and virtual management training programs to help employees grow and develop leadership skills. Its record of employee retention is strong, with a 7-year average length of service.

“The importance of a positive work environment for worker recruitment and retention cannot be overstated,” said Anthony Mancini, Chief Human Resources Officer and EVP of Operations at HMP Global. “Our hard work in creating and sustaining a culture that fosters professional growth and learning, coupled with recognitions of the efforts our employees make, has been recognized through this award. The Top Workplaces award highlights the dedication of our leadership and our devoted team.’
