Thousands of senior care professionals will gather in New Orleans for the official meeting of Argentum; reshaped agenda includes 65 sessions along seven learning tracks, powerful keynote presentations, and the Executive Director Leadership Institute.

MALVERN Pa, (April 20, 2023) — Attendees at HMP Global’s 2023 Senior Living Executive Conference will experience an expanded educational program addressing industry challenges and emerging issues in senior care. The conference is the official meeting of Argentum, the leading national association dedicated to supporting companies operating professionally managed senior living communities.

The Senior Living Executive Conference will be held May 8-10 in New Orleans. The three-day, elevated educational experience includes the latest policy developments, emerging issues impacting seniors and senior care facilities, and updates from experts on what the future holds for the industry.

Keynote presentations include “The Hero Effect – Creating a Culture of Heroes at Every Level,” by motivational speaker and author Kevin Brown, on how to build environments where people are inspired to be the best version of themselves; and “Community of Service,” by Ben Nemtin, co-founder of The Buried Life Movement, on the importance of helping others, self-care, and making kindness contagious. Brown’s keynote will be held from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. CST Monday, May 8, and Nemtin’s will be held from 10:45-11:45 a.m. CST Wednesday, May 10.

“The re-thought educational program will reflect today’s realities as the senior living industry works to turn the page from the COVID-19 pandemic and focus on the diversifying needs of the aging community,” said James Balda, President and CEO of Argentum. “Our members are focused on choice, independence, dignity, and quality of life for the populations we serve, and the Senior Living Executive Conference is an opportunity to network with colleagues and peers and learn from industry experts.”

The 2023 Executive Director Leadership Institute (EDLI) is nearly sold out this year. EDLI includes sessions to help executive directors develop and strengthen their skills in mission-critical areas including operations management, leadership, human resources, sales and marketing, clinical oversight, risk management and more. Also popular are peer-to-peer discussions in The Hive, where participants can engage with each other on future-focused topics, facilitated by the leading minds in senior living.

Educational tracks provide a deeper dive into topics most relevant to senior living organizations and key challenges, including dining and hospitality; finance and development; human resources and workforce; operations and leadership; quality and risk management; and sales and marketing. New this year is a learning track devoted to resident engagement and wellness.

“The cornerstone of senior living is a resident experience in which they remain engaged and healthy,” said Brad Williams, Senior Vice President, Business Operations at Argentum. “Sessions on resident engagement and wellness explore how to align care models with ever-changing resident needs, with person-centered strategies and tools to ensure that advancing patient wellness remains a priority.”

A series of Vision Sessions highlight innovative solutions to enhance businesses and transform resident care. Also featured at the conference is a Culinary Showcase, where top senior living chefs will share their favorite dishes and showcase the latest dining trends.

Attendees will have powerful networking opportunities, programming that is valuable for the entire executive team, and a dynamic Exhibit Hall with more than 300 of the industry’s most innovative solutions providers. The meeting is tailored for C-suite executives; the private equity, banking, and investment community; and leaders in operations, marketing and business development, dining, quality improvement, architecture and design, finance and administration, and public policy and government relations.
