April 21, 2025

Rx Summit, to be held April 21-24 in Nashville, is the most influential gathering uniting stakeholders ‘from federal to family’ in the fight against opioid addiction.
NASHVILLE, (April 21, 2025) — U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi will offer insights into the nation’s opioid crisis during remarks at the 2025 Rx and Illicit Drug Summit, the nation’s most influential gathering focused on drug addiction and recovery.
Rx Summit, under way now in Nashville, brings together stakeholders “from federal to family” to tackle the crisis head-on and chart a path forward for recovery. The Attorney General will share remarks alongside U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers of Kentucky at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 23.
A longtime advocate for public safety and substance use prevention, Bondi has worked extensively on drug policy and legal strategies to combat the opioid epidemic. While serving as Florida’s Attorney General, she led efforts to address the state’s “pill mill,” implemented prescription drug monitoring programs, and initiated lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies. Her work also included targeting illicit trafficking and recidivism reduction.
“Attorney General Bondi’s insights will add to the powerful cross-section of voices at Rx Summit,” said Doug Edwards, Senior Vice President of HMP Global Education. “More than a million lives have been lost to the opioid epidemic. Ending this crisis demands a united, all-hands-on-deck approach, and Rx Summit 2025 showcases the strength of that collective effort.”
