Dr. George Adams

AMP Course Director

Keeping a patient not only alive but alive and independent with both legs intact is truly a miracle and a blessing.

In the fight against critical limb ischemia (CLI), it takes a collaborative approach to be successful. There is no one specialty that can — or should — do it all.

AMP 2024 will be held August 14-17 in Chicago. AMP provides an unrivaled experience allowing endovascular and vascular specialists to gain knowledge on the latest advances in revascularization and explore groundbreaking techniques that will improve the future for CLI patients.

AMP’s mission is multidisciplinary at its heart. This is especially true of our course directors, an internationally renowned group of 15 experts in their fields. I am proud to be among the team of interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, wound care physicians, podiatrists, and vascular surgeons shaping AMP’s educational program.

I have been involved since the inception of AMP and have witnessed the growth, recognition, and acceptance of a multidisciplinary approach to treating peripheral artery disease (PAD). This will continue changing the face of how we practice medicine and drive innovation and education.

At the 2024 meeting, participants can expect to learn a collaborative approach to treating PAD patients, from a physician perspective and other healthcare disciplines, industry, and regulatory representation. They will gain an understanding and appreciation of the prior work performed to benefit this population and the amount of future work that still needs to be accomplished.

I am sharing several presentations this year, including “Session 11: New Data & Late Breaking Trials.” The latest CLI data will be presented at AMP, with experts dissecting new research, sharing insights, and exploring innovative approaches to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, AMP offers live cases illustrating the implementation of treatment devices. View the full educational program here

The AMP program is strengthened through endorsements and partnerships with the CLI Global Society, Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society (OEIS), Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM), and New Cardiovascular Horizons; as well as industry-supported sessions and a robust exhibit hall.

Ultimately, patients benefit from us pushing the needle forward with research initiatives and educating others with what we have learned. Keeping a patient not only alive but alive and independent with both legs intact is truly a miracle and a blessing.
