2024 AMP Course Director

CLI cannot be treated by one person or one discipline; we fight against it together. This collaborative approach is at the heart of AMP’s educational program.

One of the most valuable aspects of the Amputation Prevention Symposium (AMP) is the opportunity to network and connect with like-minded individuals.

AMP 2024 will be held August 14-17 in Chicago, bringing together a multidisciplinary group of vascular and endovascular specialists fighting against critical limb ischemia (CLI). AMP provides a camaraderie and shared dedication to patient care, with a goal of improving outcomes for patients.

The educational program provides excellent practical information, discussed in a forum for all specialties involved in fighting CLI and preventing amputations. AMP is an example of true collaboration where all specialties can interact and learn from each other.

AMP is at the forefront of developments that help patients with CLI. With its focus on what treatments genuinely work, attendees from across the globe and medical backgrounds create a fuller image of how to approach CLI through their wealth of experiences and perspectives.

A multidisciplinary perspective is the best way to bring all specialties together. CLI cannot be treated by one person or one discipline; we fight against it together. This collaborative approach is at the heart of AMP’s educational program.

My sessions will include:

  • “Limitations of Non-Invasive Diagnostic Measures,” 11:25 – 11:35 a.m. Thursday, August 15;
  • “CME Live Case Presentation: The Value of Laser Atherectomy in the Treatment of Complex Calcified CLI Lesions,” 2-3 p.m. Thursday, August 15;
  • “Session 10: New Data & Late Breaking Trials” (non-accredited), 10:30 a.m. - noon Friday, August 16, 2024;
  • “Experience of a Laser and Optics-Based Peripheral Intravascular Lithotripsy System for the Treatment of Above the Knee (ATK) Calcified lesions,” 10:51 – 10:58 a.m. Friday, August 16; and
  • “SELUTION4BTK - A Randomized Clinical Trial Evaluating SELUTION SLR Sirolimus-Eluting Balloon in the Treatment of Below-The-Knee Lesions in Patients with Chronic Limb Threatening Ischemia,” 11:40-11:47 a.m. Friday, August 16.

The wealth of opportunities to enrich your knowledge and understanding is furthered by the partnerships and endorsements AMP has with the CLI Global Society, Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society (OEIS), Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), and Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM), and the exhibits and sessions.

I always come home with new knowledge and confidence to treat my patients. For more information or to join me at AMP 2024, visit: amptheclimeeting.com.
