“I get to play on the computer all day,” she said. “And by ‘play,’ I mean write code and build things. I’ve done everything from webinars to building emails to video editing to ad ops, before ad ops was even a thing.”

Kim Manahan, HMP Global’s Associate Director of Web Development, is passionate about building things.

“I get to play on the computer all day,” she said. “And by ‘play,’ I mean write code and build things. I’ve done everything from webinars to building emails to video editing to ad ops, before ad ops was even a thing.”

She began working at HMP Global in 2013. Among her many projects, Manahan helped build VRTX and the Global Learning Network (GLN).

“I built the asset portal we use for collecting virtual assets,” she said, “and a bunch of other sites.”

Manahan grew up on Long Island with her mom, dad, and brother. She was born with a venous malformation in her leg and had more than 15 medical procedures before she was 16.

“I still have pain from it some days, but I began getting into fitness in my mid-20s after not being very smart or healthy in my early 20s,” she said.

She ran her first 5k race at 27, placing first in her age group.

“I can now leg press 450 pounds three times on a good day,” she said. “I figure it hurts if I don’t and it hurts if I do, so I might as well do.”

She has lived in Delaware and New Jersey, but she currently lives in Pennsylvania with her cat, Jasmine.

“I’m one of the lucky people whose hobby is their job,” she said.

Thank you, Kim, for all your hard work and dedication!
